VMU Technician\n\nDartford\n£33,000 - £35,000 per annum\nMonday to Friday | 10:30am - 7:00pm\nFull UK Driving Licence Required\n\nOur client, a well-established and growing logistics business, is currently seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to join their Vehicle Maintenance team based in Dartford.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanic looking to work within a modern fleet operation, carrying out maintenance and repairs on a large trailer fleet while enjoying a great work-life balance with no weekend work.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring trailers remain roadworthy, compliant, and operational through preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n * Carrying out routine trailer maintenance and repairs.\n\n * Completing Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs).\n\n * Diagnosing and rectifying trailer defects.\n\n * Repairing or replacing lights, lenses, curtains, mirrors, mudguards, landing legs, and associated trailer components.\n\n * Responding to vehicle defects and supporting operational teams with urgent repairs where required.\n\n * Completing maintenance records and inspection documentation accurately.\n\n * Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment.\n\n * Ensuring all work is completed in line with current legislation and compliance standards.\n\nAbout You\n\nTo be considered for this role, you will ideally have:\n\n * Previous experience as a Trailer Mechanic, Trailer Technician, HGV Technician, Fleet Technician, or similar.\n\n * Experience carrying out trailer PMIs and safety inspections.\n\n * Good understanding of trailer maintenance and compliance requirements.\n\n * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.\n\n * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n\n * A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.\n\n * Full UK Driving Licence.\n\nWhat's On Offer\n\n * Salary of £33,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.\n\n * Monday to Friday working pattern.\n\n * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.\n\n * Company pension scheme.\n\n * Employee wellbeing programme.\n\n * Long-term career development opportunities.\n\n * Stable and secure position within a growing organisation.\n\nIf you're an experienced Trailer Mechanic looking for your next opportunity within a professional fleet maintenance environment, we'd love to hear from you
