Role Description This full-time Van Driver - Lates role is based on-site in Swindon. The position involves safely driving company vans on late shifts to deliver goods to designated locations, following scheduled routes and delivery times. The driver will complete loading and unloading of vehicles, check delivery notes, and ensure all items are accurately transported and recorded. Day-to-day tasks include performing basic vehicle checks, reporting any defects or incidents, following all road safety and company compliance procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized vehicle. The role also includes communicating with the transport team, customers, and colleagues to resolve delivery issues and support smooth operations.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid UK driving licence with a good driving record and confidence driving vans on local and regional routes.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations, basic vehicle checks, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Good time management and route planning abilities to meet delivery schedules and handle late shift workloads effectively.
  • Reliable communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Physical ability to load and unload goods safely, including handling parcels and materials in line with manual handling guidelines.
  • Attention to detail for checking delivery documentation, recording deliveries accurately, and reporting issues promptly.
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude to working late shifts, occasional overtime, and changing delivery priorities.
  • Previous experience in multi-drop delivery, courier, or logistics driving roles is beneficial but not essential.
