Setting Out Engineer

Our client, a leading civil engineering firm specialising in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Setting Out Engineer to join their thriving team. In this permanent role, you will be responsible for managing the engineering and quality aspects across multiple sites, primarily within the civil engineering and water industry sectors.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nEstablishing the level and survey control for contracts, ensuring detailed works are set out as per contract drawings\nSupervising trainees and site engineers, ensuring they complete daily setting out activities with confidence\nEnsuring health and safety records and work environment are compliant with organisational and legal requirements\nDelivering projects safely, without environmental incidents, and ensuring specified quality standards are met\nCollaborating with the Site Agent/Sub Agent to develop efficient work methods and techniques\nManaging procurement by undertaking pre-start material take-offs and populating material procurement schedules\nConducting quality audits and compiling quality management plans\nMaintaining positive working relationships across all levels of the project team and stakeholders \n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in setting out civil engineering projects, including reinforced concrete works\nExperience within the water industry would be an advantage\nDegree/HNC or equivalent in civil engineering\nProficiency in using AutoCAD\nAbility to manage and deliver successful projects with minimal guidance\nStrong report-writing and record-keeping skills\nExcellent communication abilities, capable of engaging with client representatives, site team, and operatives\nCSCS Card and SMSTS certification \n\nBenefits:\n\nCompany pension and life assurance\nPrivate medical insurance\n25 days of annual leave in addition to 8 public bank holidays\nCompany car/ car allowance\nFlexible benefits via salary sacrifice\nEmployee assistance programme \n\nIf you are an experienced Senior Engineer looking for an opportunity to further your career within the civil engineering sector, we invite you to apply now.
