Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a leading Tier 1 contractor renowned for delivering major and complex infrastructure projects across the UK. As part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a flagship National Highways scheme in Coventry.\n\nYour new role\n\nAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for key work packages on the project, supporting the delivery of complex civil engineering and infrastructure works. You will work closely with project teams, supply chain partners and senior stakeholders to manage cost, risk and value across the project lifecycle.\n Key responsibilities will include:\n\nFull commercial management of earthworks / groundworks packages\nCost planning, forecasting and financial reporting\nAdministration of NEC contracts, including change control and compensation events\nProcurement and management of subcontractor packages\nAssessment and agreement of valuations and final accounts\nRisk and opportunity management to protect project margins\nSupporting and mentoring junior commercial team members\nWorking collaboratively with operational and engineering teams to drive value\n What you'll need to succeed\n\nExperience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure\nStrong experience in earthworks and/or groundworks packages\nExperience working for a main contractor and/or subcontractor\nGood knowledge of NEC contracts (Option C)\nConfidence managing subcontract accounts, change control and cost reporting\nThe ability to operate independently and take ownership of your work\nA degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar (or equivalent experience)\nProfessional membership (RICS / CICES) - desirableAbout Us\n\nWe are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
