We are looking for innovative project professionals to realise our aspirations whilst ensuring the ongoing operation, safety and security of Heathrow. As Senior Design Manager you will project manage the integrated solution development, ensuring options are deliverable, are sustainable, of high quality, maintainable, accessible, coordinated across the packages of work, and delivered to the expectations of the stakeholders. Lead the delivery of the programme/tranche documentation in a timely manner ensuring that the strategic objectives for Long Term Growth programme are met.

Responsibilities
\n
\n - Aids the Programme Leader and Head of Design Delivery in the execution of their duties.
\n - Support with the procurement of Design and Engineering suppliers and oversee the management, costs and associated output of those supplier contracts.
\n - Lead the delivery of design and engineering outputs for one or more tranche. Ensure that the strategic objectives of the programme and to the relevant requirements.
\n - Ensure progress and performance of the tranche is achieved and reporting and governance updated in line with capital process. Define and implement suitable performance measures for the design and engineering activities at each stage of delivery.
\n - Identify and manage risk and opportunity throughout the gateway life cycle. Lead the implementation od suitable risk mitigation and contingencies and ensure effective horizon risk scanning.

Qualifications
\n
\n - Extensive experience (at least 5 years) and knowledge of working in project or programme environment.
\n - Experience of working with multi-disciplinary design and engineering teams and stakeholders.
\n - Evidence of delivering successful outcomes in a complex programme environment.
\n - Adaptability to continuous improvement and change management
\n - Degree qualified in appropriate discipline or with significant demonstrable experience/professional accreditation
