Sales Estimator\n\nLocation: Birmingham\n\nSalary: £Negotiable DOE\n\nReference: ASPLIV\n\nIndustry: Fasteners\n\nOur client, a well-established manufacturer and supplier within the fastener industry based in Birmingham, is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Estimator to join their growing commercial team.\n\nThis position would suit an experienced Sales Estimator with a strong background within the fastener industry and proven experience costing and estimating jobs independently. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting customers, preparing accurate quotations, and ensuring projects are priced competitively whilst maintaining target margins.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nPreparing accurate quotations and cost estimates for customer enquiries and projects.\nReviewing customer drawings, specifications, and requirements to determine manufacturing and supply costs.\nCosting jobs independently, ensuring all material, manufacturing, and operational costs are considered.\nLiaising with customers to clarify technical and commercial requirements.\nWorking closely with production, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure accurate pricing and lead times.\nSourcing material and subcontract costs where required.\nNegotiating pricing with suppliers to maximise profitability and competitiveness.\nFollowing up quotations and identifying opportunities to convert enquiries into orders.\nMaintaining accurate records of quotations, pricing structures, and customer information.\nProviding technical and commercial support to customers.\nMonitoring market trends, raw material costs, and competitor activity within the industry.\nSupporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance estimating processes and efficiency.\nRequirements:\n\nPrevious experience as a Sales Estimator within the fastener industry is essential.\nProven experience costing and estimating jobs independently.\nStrong understanding of fastener manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.\nAbility to interpret customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.\nExcellent commercial awareness with a strong understanding of margins and profitability.\nExperience liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.\nStrong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple quotations and deadlines effectively.\nExperience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous\nPackage Details:\n\nSalary negotiable DOE\n08:30-17:00 Monday to Thursday / 08:00-16:30 Fridays\n23 days annual leave + Bank Holidays\nMonthly team performance related bonus\nCompany pension\nTo Contact Direct:\n\nDaniel Barnett\n\nManaging Consultant\n\n(phone number removed)\n\nAt Aspion, our core values have been built around the importance of transparency, innovation, passion, and collaboration.
