\nJoinery Manager & Senior Cabinet Maker Opportunity:
\nWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, specialist manufacturer of bespoke kitchens, fitted furniture and architectural millwork, based in Essendine, Rutland. Producing furniture-grade cabinetry of exceptional quality, their projects span high-end residential properties across the UK, USA and internationally.
\nThis is a senior, permanent position for an experienced Joiery Manager and Senior Cabinet Maker ready to take on a Workshop Foreman or team manager role. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with previous supervisory or management experience in a cabinetry, joinery or furniture manufacturing environment and equally from those who have previously run their own cabinetmaking or joinery business and are now looking to bring that breadth of experience into an employed senior role within an ambitious, growing manufacturer.
\nJoinery Manager / Senior Cabinet MakerResponsibilities:
\nLead day-to-day workshop operations while remaining hands-on in production
\nManufacture bespoke kitchens and fitted furniture to the highest standards
\nRead and interpret technical and workshop drawings
\nOversee workshop production planning, allocation and workflow management
\nMonitor progress against programme requirements and delivery schedules
\nMaintain and enforce quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process
\nSupport, mentor and develop junior and mid-level members of the workshop team
\nAssist with machinery setup, maintenance and workshop organisation
\nWork closely with project managers and designers to resolve technical issues
\nSupport installation teams where required
\nWhat We Are Looking For
\nMinimum 10 years experience in bespoke cabinetry, joinery or architectural millwork
\nProven experience managing, supervising or leading a workshop team or having previously run your own cabinetmaking or joinery business
\nStrong technical knowledge of furniture and cabinet construction
\nAbility to work from detailed technical and workshop drawings
\nExcellent organisational and communication skills
\nHigh attention to detail and a genuine passion for quality craftsmanship
\nExperience with premium residential projects (desirable)
\nKnowledge of veneered and solid timber construction (desirable)
\nCNC or modern manufacturing experience (desirable)
\nFull UK driving licence (preferred)
\nWhats on Offer
\nSalary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
