This Head of Maintenance role leads all maintenance operations, managing outsourced contractors, maintenance budgets, statutory compliance, and the performance of critical building and engineering systems. It is a senior leadership position focused on ensuring a safe, compliant, efficient estate while driving service improvements.\n\nClient Details\n\nThis organisation is a respected and well-established entity operating in the heart of London looking to grow its estates team.\n\nDescription\n\nLead maintenance and engineering operations.\nManage outsourced Hard FM and maintenance contractors.\nEnsure statutory compliance across all buildings and engineering systems.\nOversee planned and reactive maintenance programmes.\nManage maintenance budgets, contracts, KPIs and SLAs.\nMonitor asset performance, condition surveys and lifecycle maintenance plans.\nLead health & safety, risk management and contractor control processes.\nSupport capital projects and ensure successful handover into operation.\nDrive service improvements, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.\nWork closely with leadership, stakeholders and external consultants. \n\nProfile\n\nA successful Head of Maintenance would have:\n\nExperience in leading maintenance, estates, or engineering.\nStrong knowledge of building services, compliance, and health & safety.\nGood technical understanding of Hard FM.\nProven ability to manage outsourced contractors and maintenance budgets.\nSkilled stakeholder manager, able to work across environments.\nStrong people leader who drives performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
