Gold Card Electricians & Electrical Improvers – Heathrow Airport\n\n40 Positions Available – Major Long-Term Airport Project\n\nLocation: Heathrow Airport\nStart Date: Immediate starts available following airside clearance\nDuration: 12+ months\nShift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday nights\nHours: 10–12 hour shifts\nEmployment Type: PAYE only\nRates: £25.00–£35.00 per hour depending on position and experience\nOvertime: Enhanced rates after 37.5 hours and weekends\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe are currently recruiting experienced Gold Card Electricians and Electrical Improvers for a major long-term electrical installation project at Heathrow Airport.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile airport infrastructure project offering consistent work for over 12 months on baggage handling and conveyor systems within a specialist environment.\n\nImmediate starts are available once airside passes have been secured.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Read and work from E-drawings, electrical schematics and installation drawings.\n\n * Carry out electrical installation, wiring, panel wiring and termination works.\n\n * Install and modify electrical systems associated with baggage handling and conveyor systems.\n\n * Support testing, commissioning and fault-finding activities where required.\n\n * Maintain high standards of health and safety within a live airport environment.\n\nEssential Requirements – Gold Card Electricians\n\n * Valid ECS/JIB Gold Card.\n\n * Ability to wire and terminate control panels.\n\n * Strong electrical installation experience.\n\n * Ability to work independently from drawings and schematics.\n\nEssential Requirements – Electrical Improvers\n\n * Valid ECS Card.\n\n * Experience assisting with or carrying out terminations.\n\n * Strong wiring and panel work experience.\n\n * Ability to work from drawings and follow installation instructions.\n\nDesirable Experience & Qualifications\n\n * Previous experience working on baggage handling systems or conveyor systems.\n\n * Airport, industrial or infrastructure project experience.\n\n * Control panel and automation system experience.\n\n * IPAF qualification.\n\n * PASMA qualification.\n\n * Experience within mission-critical or highly regulated environments.\n\nAdditional Requirements\n\n * Applicants must live within approximately one hour of Heathrow Airport.\n\n * Candidates may be required to complete security clearance, employment history checks and drug & alcohol screening.\n\n * Previous baggage handling or conveyor system experience is highly desirable.\n\nAdditional Benefits\n\n * Fast-tracked airside passes.\n\n * Heathrow signatory status held.\n\n * Typical pass turnaround of 2–4 weeks.\n\n * Long-term project with consistent night shifts.\n\n * Enhanced rates after 37.5 hours and weekend working.\n\n * Ongoing opportunities on future airport projects.\n\nPay & Overtime\n\nRates range from £25.00 to £35.00 per hour depending on position and experience.\n\nEnhanced rates apply after 37.5 hours and for weekend working.
