Associate Director - Quantity Surveying / Cost Management

We are currently working in partnership with a well-established construction consultancy to appoint an experienced Associate Director / Director – Quantity Surveying / Cost Management to join their Cambridge office. This is a senior leadership position within a highly respected cost and commercial function, supporting a strong pipeline of technically complex and high-value projects across the life sciences, R&D, commercial, education, and healthcare sectors. The Role You will take a leading role within the business, responsible for: * Leading the successful delivery of major projects from early-stage feasibility through to final account * Managing a small team of quantity surveying / cost professionals and Project Managers * Providing strategic commercial and cost advice to key clients * Managing and developing senior QS and cost management professionals * Leading client relationships at senior and repeat business level * Supporting regional growth and contributing to wider business strategy * Ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality commercial outcomes About You We are seeking an established senior cost professional who can operate at Associate Director / Director level, likely with: * MRICS or equivalent professional qualification * Strong consultancy background in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management * Proven experience delivering complex UK construction projects * Demonstrable leadership and client-facing capability * Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence at senior level The Opportunity * Senior leadership role within a highly regarded consultancy * Strong pipeline of secured, high-profile work * Competitive salary with an enhanced bonus structure * Clear progression into broader leadership responsibility * Flexible and modern working culture Next Steps This is a confidential search.
